First Stop is the Stick Shed in the small town of Murtoa to visit the National Heritage Listed cultural icon. Be guided around this unique and dramatic structure which was completed in 1942 and is now the only one of its kind remaining in Australia.
Next we will enjoy morning tea at Rupanyup Living, Home and Giftware’s, briefly time to look around at the lovely local produce and gifts while enjoying tea/coffee plus a locally produced brownie. (NOTE: if Rupanyup Living is not available an alternative will be used) Just around the corner is Rupanyup Silo Art – created by Russian artist Julia Volchova – and discover the other art work in this small town.
Next we visit the Sheep Hills Silo – time to see artist Adnate’s work up close – learn about his subject choices. The remote location of this silo really adds to the atmosphere of the story on the silo.
It’s now time to head to the “larger” town of Warracknabeal for lunch at the Creekside Hotel with lots of great options for lunch to pick from, however do advise us of any unusual dietary requirements in advance. After lunch, a little time is allocated to stretch your legs and walk over to the Lion’s Park or into town if you wish – or just chill out at the creekside.
We then travel to Brim – to see the silo that started it all, as the most “famous” silo – hear how it all started when you get to Brim.
Time to turn around and hear back to the Grampians, on the way back we will stop at the small town of Minyip if you require any snacks/afternoon tea (own expense).
Minimum: 2 people is required.
Maximum 11 people
If one location is closed / not available – we will add another location as a substitute.
