    Many kids will say when asked: “Where would you like to go for your next holiday?” “Halls Gap Lakeside!!!!” Reason? As far as we know we have one of the only wood fire heated pools in Australie. You and your children will be able to enjoy the warm water of our wood fire heated pool(s)* all year around. It really can’t get much better than that!

    *We have two pools, but at times we only have one pool running.

    During the warmer months on weekends, long weekends and school holidays the ice cream bike will ride around the park between 7pm to 8.30/9pm. Really, who doesn’t love an ice cream after dinner? By the way, if you are a grown up, you deserve one too!

    The sweet memories of buying lollies with the dollar grandma gave you for you report! At reception we have a small range of lollies available and of course do we sell marshmallows too!

    It doesn’t stop by the pure joy of the warmth of a campfire. Collecting kindling together, teaching your kids how to light a campfire, discussing fire safety, enjoying conversation and as the icing on the cake TOASTING MARSHMALLOWS!

    Securely placed spring free trampolines are dotted all around the playground. So much fun and it will get the kids nice and tired so you are all in for a good nights sleep!

    During weekends, long weekends and school holidays we have a colouring in competition. The kids can win an ice cream. Just pick up the colouring in from front reception, and leave it in the vase on the table outside front of reception by the end of day. Winning entries will be displayed in the front window of reception by 9am the next morning.

    During school holidays and long weekends the Halls Gap Zoo will at times visit with a dingo, a reptile and sometimes even a snake which you can hold around your neck. Do you know how heavy they are?

    TREASURE HUNTS

    Yes, every Saturday and more frequently during long weekends and school holidays we have an in house treasure hunt. Entry forms can be collected at the front reception from 10am onwards. How it works? Basically you have to find 9 locations, collect a letter at each location and also answer a question. The 9 letters will create a word. Just drop your completed entry form off at reception on the day of the treasure hunt before 4pm and the winning entries will be displayed at 5pm at the front window of reception. More ice cream to win!
