How it works

1. Download the Grampians Treasure Hunts app

*For Apple devices IOS 9 or higher is required (iPhone 5 or newer)

2. Read the instructions how to play.

3. Download & Print the Activities PDF
These will be needed to complete the activities within the virtual tour.

4. Play The Game, complete the challenges and collect the
11 letters

5. Enter to win one of the amazing prizes

How to play

Step 1

Download the Grampians Treasure Hunts by Locatify app from the iTunes store or Google Play

Step 2

Once installed, open the game and you will see a notification to allow access to your device’s location. For this game you can click deny but if you like to play future treasure hunts when you visit the park it might be interesting to allow only while using the app or if you do not have this option allow.

Step 3

Find the game “Virtual Grampians Holiday” (this should instantly pop up into your screen)

Step 4

Download and install the Virtual Grampians Holiday Game (this might take a while).
Open the game and you will see a notification to allow access to your device’s location. For this game you can click deny but if you like to play future treasure hunts when you visit the park it might be interesting to allow only while using the app or if you do not have this option allow.

Step 5

Ready to start? Push “Start Tour”

Step 6

Fill in your player name (be creative!) and your email address so we can reach you in case you win one of the exciting prizes!

Step 7

You will see a photo of a road with Mt Abrupt in the background. On this photo you will see a cockatoo. Click on this cockatoo get to the challenges.

Notes

Note 1: You will only find challenges under the cockatoos that are facing left, right facing cockatoos in the game do not have any hidden challenges)

Note 2: You might have to allow access to your camera and storage of your phone to take and store pictures taken during the challenges.

Step 8

Execute the challenge and scroll to the bottom of the page to press “continue”.

Step 9

When you finished your challenges, you will see a letter on your screen. Write this down or save in your photo library.

Step 10

In your drop-down menu, go to the next location and so on, there are a total of 9 locations!

    Main Prize

    Main prize winner will be announced Monday 3 August midday AEST. The Main Prize includes a 3 night stay at Halls Gap Lakeside (up to the value of $600) with a fire drum, wood, a packet of marshmallows, a meerkat plush and a caravan and camping Monopoly board; Family meal at the Halls Gap Hotel to the value of $200; $50 voucher for Coola's ice cream shop; Animal encounter at the Halls Gap Zoo to the value of $80.
